Hi, I'm Amy 你好,我是 Amy

Welcome to my little Chinese corner — let me tell you why this website exists. 欢迎来到我的中文小站,我想和你说说这个网站诞生的故事。

My Story 我的故事

"你好!" — and for most people, that's where the Chinese ends.

I've worked in foreign-trade sales in China for more than ten years. The best part of my job has always been the people: clients and friends from dozens of countries, every conversation a small window into another corner of the world.

Almost all of those conversations happen in English. Very few of my clients speak Chinese — for most of them, the whole language comes down to one cheerful word: "你好!" (hello!). After that, with a friendly smile, we switch right back to English.

One day a simple question popped into my head. China and the rest of the world are closer than ever — trade, travel, culture flowing in every direction. So why does English always have to be the bridge? What if, instead of only Chinese people learning English, more friends around the world learned Chinese too — and one day, we could chat in my language?

I searched online to see what learning Chinese is really like, and the answer was honest and a little scary: Chinese is regularly called one of the hardest languages for beginners — unfamiliar sounds, four "musical" tones, and thousands of characters. People see the mountain and never take the first step.

That's when the idea became clear. I wanted to build that first step. A simple, friendly website to solve the very first problem every beginner faces — pinyin, the pronunciation key of Chinese, together with writing practice — free for anyone, anywhere, with nothing but a tap to hear every sound.

And here it is. 这个网站就这样诞生了。If this little site helps you say your first real Chinese sentence beyond "你好" — then this idea was worth every minute. 如果有一天,你能用中文说出"你好"之外的第一句话,就是它最大的意义。

Your Chinese Learning Path 中文学习路径

Chinese is a marathon, not a sprint — but the route is well marked. Here is the journey, step by step. 学中文像一场马拉松,不用急,但路线很清晰——照着下面六步走就好。

  1. 1

    Master Pinyin 攻克拼音

Learn the 23 initials, 24 finals and 16 whole syllables. Pinyin unlocks every Chinese sound — it's the alphabet of spoken Chinese. 学会声母、韵母和整体认读音节,拼音是所有中文发音的钥匙。

  2. 2

    Tame the Tones 掌握声调

Four tones turn one syllable into four completely different words (mā "mother", mǎ "horse"). Train your ear, then test yourself. 四个声调让同一个音节变成不同的字,多听多练,再用测验检验自己。

  3. 3

    Learn Real Words 积累词语

Start with greetings, numbers, family and food — a few words every day, always spoken out loud. 从问候、数字、家庭、食物等日常词开始,每天学几个,并且大声说出来。

  4. 4

    Start Writing Characters 学写汉字

Sounds first, characters after! Begin with basic strokes and radicals, then practise in copybooks (字帖) — just like Chinese children do. 先拼音、后汉字:从基本笔画和偏旁学起,用字帖反复临摹。

  5. 5

    Build Sentences 学习句型

Learn simple sentence patterns and start expressing your own ideas — short sentences beat perfect sentences. 掌握简单句型,开始表达自己的想法:短句开口,比追求完美更重要。

  6. 6

    Use It Every Day 坚持使用

Watch, listen, sing, chat — language lives when you use it. Make Chinese friends; they're waiting to say more than "你好" to you. 看剧、听歌、聊天,语言越用越活——去找中国朋友吧,他们正想和你说"你好"之外的话。

Three Tips from Amy 艾米的三个建议

⏰ A Little Every Day 每天一点点

15 minutes a day beats 3 hours on Sunday. Regular practice is the secret. 每天 15 分钟胜过周末突击 3 小时,坚持才是秘诀。

🔊 Sounds Before Characters 先音后字

Don't touch characters until pinyin and tones feel natural. That's the right order. 拼音和声调顺口之后再学汉字,顺序别颠倒。

💬 Mistakes Are Progress 说错就是进步

Every mistake is proof you're trying. Native speakers will love that you're learning. 说错没关系,敢说就是进步,中国人会特别开心你在学中文。

Ready for Step 1? 准备好迈出第一步了吗?

Start with pinyin, and hear every sound with one tap. 从拼音开始,点一下就能听到每个音。
